The locomotives had worked the train to Carlisle and then back from Crewe while A4 Pacific Union of South Africa also from the SVR took the tour from Carlisle across the S&C to Crewe

If you missed the trip then you missed the glorious sound of 32 Cylinders of English Electric in full cry!
